VH1, Dr. Drew and Irwin Entertainment have expanded their documentary series on addiction to examine one of society’s most taboo topics, sex addiction, in the  series “Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew.” The series debuted on VH1 this past Sunday and features former adult stars Penny Flame and Kendra Jade, among the cast that also includes Skid Row drummer Phil Varone and model Amber Smith.

Dr. Drew and a team of the nation’s foremost experts on sexual addiction will guide the eight patients through an intensive state of the art program.  Living together for 21 days, they’ll meet with Dr. Drew in daily one-on-one and group therapy sessions in order to get to the root of their compulsive behavior.

On the first episode, Dr. Drew laid down the ground rules which included no masturbation, no seductive behavior, and of course, no sex. For Kendra adapting to rehab is proving to be difficult. Now almost a full day without her husband, Kendra breaks down and wonders if she’s going to be able to make it. After only a day in rehab, Kendra and the rest of the sex addicts are extraordinarily fragile and emotional. They are about to take on one of the toughest experiences of their lives and it’s anyone guess if they can make it through 21 days of intense treatment without their drug of choice: sex.
