A Japanese official got in a bit of hot sake for logging more than 780,000 hits on porn sites at work over a nine month period. The city civil servant was demoted after his bosses discovered the activities from his computer’s internal log after his desktop was infected by a virus, but despite his frequency to the sites, his activities weren’t noticed by his co-workers.

The worker received a demotion along with a 20,000 yen ($190) monthly pay cut.
