A report posted on jp.dk/news says than an increasing number of Danish women are buying and watching pornorgraphy.

A recent TSN Gallup poll showed that 66,000 Danish women between 21 and 50 years of age had tuned into city TV station, Kanal Kobenhavn’s late-night porn program for at least five minutes within the past month. The report also says that the leading seller of porn movies in Denmark claims that female patrons are starting to make up a significant portion of their sales.

‘It’s definitely a step by step development, but movies for women and couples are very much in demand,’ Barny Nygaard, head of BN Agentur, told TV2 News.

Another study conducted in 2007 by psychologist Gert Martin Hald suggests that young Danish women are also viewing and buying more adult entertainment. The study showed that 50 percent of the 372 women asked admitted to having watched a dirty movie within the past six months.

The Hald study also showed that women are more likely than men to want to use a porn movie when they’re with their partners.
