Two of America’s top adult entertainment moguls, Joe Francis (Girls Gone Wild) and Larry Flynt (Hustler) are claiming that the state of our country’s economy has caused XXX DVD sales to drop by 22% from a last year. So, just as the banking and auto industries have turned to the government for financial assistance, Flynt and Francis are asking Uncle Sam for a bailout of $5 billion.

“With all this economic misery and people losing all that money, sex is the farthest thing from their mind,” Flynt said in an interview posted on TMZ.com. “It’s time for congress to rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America.”

“Congress seems willing to help shore up our nation’s most important businesses,” said Francis. “We feel we deserve the same consideration.”

Francis also said that he’s going to Washington to personally make his case for a porn bailout before congress.
