Industry sites including XBIZ and AVN are reporting that veteran adult  photographer and director Richard Montfort has passed away. The cause of death is unknown at this time. Montfort was found dead in his Burbank home after police were alerted he was not returning phone calls, text messages or answering his door.

The 53-year-old Montfort had worked in adult since 1999 as either a still photographer or film director under the names Richard Montford and Richard de Montfort, and he had directed approximately 50 movies in his 10 years in the biz for companies such 1st Strike, Nectar, Adam & Eve, SexZ Pictures and Hustler, including installments in their Asian Fever and Barely Legal series.
