Potty Peeper Gets Banned From Owning A Camera Phone
Posted on June 11th, 2008 by Genesis_DB under HearSay, NewsWorld news source Reuters.com reports that Samuel Ong, a 19-year-old man from Singapore, has been banned from owning a camera phone for one year after having been found guilty of covertly taking photos of a woman on the toilet in an airport.
Earlier this year Ong snuck into the ladies room at the Changi Airport in Singapore, where he placed his camera phone under a cubicle door in an attempt to take pictures of the woman in the stall using the toilet. The woman caught Ong taking her picture, and notified the police.
Ong pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to being banned from owning a camera phone for a year. His sentence also includes having to observe a curfew, psychiatric treatment and 60 hours of community service.
