On Saturday May 21, 2008, Theresa “Darklady” Reed presents her seventh annual Masturbate-a-thon fundrasier event at the Mt. Tabor Theater in Portland, Oregon.

Darklady invites all would-be public masturbators to, “Pick your favorite past, present, or future burlesque era, dress to impress, and luxuriate in an evening of solo-sexual satisfaction and entertainment, featuring kinky and erotic play spaces, a silent auction, dancing girls, comedians, jugglers, porn stars, Canada’s singing sensation: The Wet Spots, and so much more.”

The mistress of ceremonies will be transsexual porn star Hot Wendy Williams, and other highlights of the event will include “Sweet indulgences from the Naughty Baker,” a fellatio demo by Sara Jay and a “Circle Jerk for Prizes.”

The proceeds from this year’s Masturbate-a-thon will go to Esther’s Pantry (an organization that provides food and personal care items to those living with HIV/AIDS), the Center for Sex and Culture, the Woodhull Freedom Foundation and the Free Speech Coalition.

Adult entertainment companies are also lending a hand to the Masturbate-a-thon cause. Sex toy manufacturing company Topco is donating a number of their products to the event. Other adult companies who are donating for a worthy cause include Adam & Eve, Kickass Pictures and Pink Visual.

Darklady’s philosophy on the annual celebration of self-gratification for the sake of giving back to the community id simple; “Although not everyone is ready to sit down in a room full of people and masturbate, just about everyone is ready for a good party. Especially a Darklady party!”
