Fashion and gossip site Fashion.ie posted a story alleging that “adult entertainment insiders” are reporting that Playboy is planning to enter into the gay XXX market by launching a cable video-on-demand channel featuring softcore male gay erotica.

Those who view the gay product can expect to see programming that will “depict erect genitalia,  male-on-male fellatio and simulated or implied sexual intercourse.” However the product “shall not depict actual anal penetration, licking or anal sexual play of any kind.”

The report also says that the programming will not depict male ejaculation and forced bondage. Fashion.ie cites the reason for the gay erotic video-on-demand content from Playboy as the company’s desire to “diversify” after the adult entertainment giant announced that its revenue dropped by 8 percent, while Playboy’s domestic TV revenue was down by $2.6 million in the first three months of the year. The post states that the gay adult content will be available to Time Warner Cable customers within the next few months, though an exact date for the launch has not been announced.
