According to TheSun.co.uk a married prison teacher has stepped down from her job upon allegations that she had an affair with a convicted murderer.

Beverley Horne, 35, a mother of three children, left her job after authorities launched an investigations into her alleged relationship with Lester Jackson, a man serving a life sentence for murder.

Sources said the pair began an illicit liaison after being left alone for “one on one tutorials” at Ashwell Prison near Oakham, Leics.

Jackson, jailed in 1991 for beating a mugging victim to death with a baseball bat in London, claimed he and Horne had been having sex up to twice a week for six months.

Authorities confirmed Horne, who was seconded to the prison by her employers Manchester College, had quit her general studies teaching post.

A source said: “Jackson has become a bookworm in prison and the teacher said he had great potential to learn.

A close relative of Horne said at her home in Leicestershire last night: “She has no comment to make.”

The Prison Service said: “We take any allegation of inappropriate relationships very seriously.”
