In an industry first, VCX, home and distributor of adult’s best, brings the complete Golden Age library of classics titan Cal Vista to DVD and the Internet.

Bringing Cal Vista’s collection of 176 titles spanning from 1970 to 1988, VCX is re-mastering the titles to the best video and audio quality possible. The movies, which include the critically acclaimed “Nothing to Hide,” will be available on disc and via streaming video from VCX’s website, VCX.com. The notable adult movies are given the treatment they deserve, with newly commissioned original extras and a fresh telecine transfer using the best technology available.

“These movies have never looked as good as they will after we’re done with them,” VCX President Dave Sutton promised. “We’re attempting to duplicate the quality these titles exemplified when they were shown originally in cinematic release. Brand new art, created from the huge still library that was a part of the acquisition will make these wonderful classics really stand out on the shelf as well! The titles, shot mostly on 35 mm film, are the cream of the Cal Vista crop and are some of the best movies released during the Golden Age.”

Bringing Cal Vista’s movies to the high video and audio standards of VCX’s other DVD and streaming offerings was Sutton’s first order of business when the rights to the movies were acquired.

“Sidney Niekerk, the retired owner of Cal Vista, and his wife Dani Duran were giants in this industry and their movies deserve nothing less than the best. I’ll always be grateful for the assistance they gave me over the years and respect the legacy they left,” he added.

HellHouse Media announced this week that the fan favorite star of Nasty Talk POV Jenny Hendrix will be joining their new contract star Moxxie Maddron to sign for fans at this year’s Erotica L.A. The callipygian starlet was bursting with excitement.

Launching the month of June as National Internet Safety Month, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) today highlighted the success of its RTA “Restricted to Adults” website label and other efforts by the adult entertainment industry in protecting children from age-inappropriate content online.

At the National Press Club in Washington, DC, CEO Joan Irvine joined Stormy Daniels, contract performer, writer and director with Wicked Pictures, and Joy King, Vice President of Special Projects for Wicked Pictures to explain how use of the RTA label is growing among adults-only websites.

“More than 30 million children regularly access the Internet, and one-third of them report viewing sexual material online that we, as parents and as the adult industry, do not want them to see,” said Irvine. “ASACP has worked diligently with the adult industry, webmasters and parental filtering companies to make sure the RTA label is widely recognized and used, and we’re proud that more than 4 million web pages now link to the label online.”

Irvine also screened the recent series of public service announcements, produced by ASACP and featuring Daniels, that were created to enable and encourage parents to use parental filtering software to block access by children to adults-only websites.

“Making the PSA for the RTA label was not just something that I wanted to do, but something I felt was an obligation,” said Daniels. “Being part of the adult entertainment industry comes with many responsibilities, and I hope that by taking an active role in protecting minors I will inspire others in my business to follow my lead.”

Dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet and protecting children from age-inappropriate material online, ASACP developed the RTA website label as a free, easy to use, internationally recognized label that marks website content as being for adults only. The unique string of “meta data” is easily placed in the computer code of a website and allows parental filtering software block children accessing the website.

Since its creation, the RTA label has had a staggering impact. More than a dozen ASACP supporters are included in Alexa’s Global Top 500, which ranks the top Internet websites based on traffic visits, and the RTA label is on sites that receive more than 50 million hits daily. One particular RTA-labeled site receives over 10 million unique visitors a month, allowing millions of people see the RTA message on this one site alone.

“The majority of the parental control systems have added RTA including the Parental Control Bar which was developed by the Website Rating and Advisory Council (WRAAC) and is the most frequently downloaded software on CNET.com,” Irvine said. “We have made tremendous progress over the past year and look forward to what we can do in the years to come.”

The RTA label has been honored by the American Society of Association Executives, and it was placed by The Center for Association Leadership on the 2008 Association’s Advance America Honor Roll. The label was also recently named the Overall Winner in the U.S. Association category of the association’s Make a Better World competition.

On May 22, the U.S. Senate passed S. Res. 567, introduced by Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and co-sponsored by 27 Senators, designating June as National Internet Safety Month, recognizing the need for new measures that organizations, web designers and families can take to protect children from age inappropriate material.

“We applaud Sen. Murkowski and her 27 co-sponsors for their commitment to the challenge of Internet safety and we look forward to working with them on new ways to protect America’s children online,” Irvine said.

Founded in 1996, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP battles child pornography through its CP reporting hotline, and by organizing the efforts of the online adult industry to combat the heinous crime of child sexual abuse. The folks at Midnite Videos are gearing up for the launch of a new online adult movie service. The new site, Mvideos.com will present adult movies in high definition, plus offer clearer video and better downloads for video on demand.

“We have high definition movies, and stream in high definition,” explains Tory Labarbera, marketing and sales director for Midnite Videos. “We can also take movies that are not in HD DVD format and give them a high definition quality. The quality of the video stream is excellent, everything that I’ve played buffers really fast with no interruptions.”

Some of the biggest adult studios have signed up. Adam and Eve, Wicked Pictures Metro, Pleasure Productions, Woodman Entertainment, Sin City and Red Light District are on board.

What makes Midnite Videos so appealing to studios is their real time statistics program, Midnite Dollars. Producers directly log in to immediately see how much money has been made, and how many people are watching specific titles at that moment. There is also the option to pull a title for any reason, at any time. By signing up, companies get a real count and a real dollar amount of how their movies do.

“Midnite Dollars has been very popular,” Labarbera noted. “All the studios I’ve shown it to really liked it and were impressed. We brought a working, real-time demonstration to studio offices such as Wicked Pictures and made a very good impression.”

That’s changed in the past couple of months. We’re going to let Mel and Tony ask us the questions that we have not allowed in the past. It’s been a while since we’ve worked with Ed on ‘The New Neighbors’, and we’re proud of what the movie accomplished, and that it’s still selling very well in video on demand sites.”

The Fans of X-Rated Entertainment is coming back to town with a vengeance. The original adult films fan based awards show and review is coming into town June 8th, Sunday night, after the close of AVN’s Erotica LA convention in Los Angeles.

In a story published on TMZ.com, the gossip site’s sources report that Clay Aiken is the father of his best friend, and record producer Jaymes Foster’s baby.

Foster is 50 years old and the sister of recording industry mogul David Foster. Aiken, the runner-up on the second season of American Idol, is 29 and lives with the mother of his child when he is spending time in Los Angeles.

The TMZ report states that Aiken impregnated Foster through artificial insemination, and the plan is for him to have an active role in the raising of the child. This is the first child for either Foster or Aiken. Foster is divorced, and Aiken has never been married. The baby is due in August.

It’s impossible to discuss the war in Iraq without touching upon a number of hot-button issues. The politics surrounding the war take up most of our discussions. However, there are many issues involving the effects of war on the countries involved and the service people who deal with the realities of combat on a daily basis that are almost never explored openly. One such issue is the challenges faced by wounded and disabled soldiers when it comes to being intimate with their partners when they return from service duty.

USAtoday.com posted a story today about a recent conference organized by the Center of Excellence for Sexual Health at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta centered on issues surrounding sexuality and intimacy among injured and disabled war veterans. Those who spoke at this conference included B.J. Jackson, a soldier who lost his legs while serving in Iraq, and his wife Abby. Another speaker at the conference was Senator Bob Dole, who suffered an injury while serving America during World War II that cost him the full use of his right arm.

The USAtoday.com story quoted Dole as saying, “About 3,000 of the troops wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan have suffered major physical impairment. Vets who have lost a quality-of-life function, such as sexual ability, should be given quality-of-life compensation in addition to other payment, because the magnitude of their disabilities will fully sink in as they age.”

Mitchell S. Tepper, the assistant project director at the Center of Excellence for Sexual Health, was quoted in the report as well.

“It’s serious at any age,” Tepper said. “Badly injured patients are extremely interested in the subject, even if they’re shy about asking. Studies of the general population of people with spinal cord injuries find that some rank the desire to have sex above the ability to walk again. Healthy intimate relationships add meaning to life and can aid in recovery from other injuries, he said. And the loss of a relationship can be detrimental, even a factor in suicide.”

At the conference, Abby Jackson spoke about feeling rejected when her husband came home, and refused to be intimate with her. Jackson also had burns on his body, and was suffering from traumatic stress disorder in addition to having lost his legs while serving in Iraq in 2003.

According to the USAtoday.com story, Mrs. Jackson went on to say that a doctor told her that things would get better with time. Eventually she and her husband opened up lines of communication, and they were able to work through the issues.

Today the Jacksons have four children, and are working on adopting another child. Two of the couple’s children were born after B.J. suffered his war-related injuries.

Dr. Harold Wain, chief of the psychiatry consultation liaison service at Walter Reed Army Medical Center talked about ways to make the transition back to intimacy between injured veterans and their partners easier.
“What you want to do is give back to the injured person the sense that they are whole, and they have appropriate behavior patterns and they can be loved for who they are.”

Kelly is facing 14 counts relating to child pornography for his alleged participation in a 26-minute video that allegedly depicts the R&B recording artist engaged in sex acts with a girl, who is believed to have been 13 at the time the video was shot.

Chicagotribune.com is reporting that Kelly’s defense team claims to have been contacted by a man who claims to know “damaging information” about the Georgia woman, who was scheduled to testify that she had a sexual encounter with Kelly, as well as the girl seen in the tape. The witness was also going to testify that that girl in the video was indeed under age.

Cook County Judge Vincent Gaughan stopped the proceedings about an hour before the prosecution witness was scheduled to testify. The judge agreed to delay the court’s proceedings to give the defense adequate time to prepare their cross-examination of the prosecution’s witness. The delay will also give the defense and prosecution the opportunity to interview and depose the latest witness brought forward by the defense.
According to the Chicagotribune.com story, Law enforcement sources are believed to be skeptical about the usefulness of the information from the new witness, as well as the timing of his emergence in the trial.

The trial is set to resume sometime today. If convicted, Kelly faces up to 15 years in prison.
