Closing date for voting in the third annual event has been moved back to March 5th

The new deadline to submit a vote for the best in British adult entertainment is now March 5th. With many of the top categories, including Female Performer of the Year and MILF of the Year, too close to call, TVX has presented the nominees one last opportunity to make a push in their respective categories.

“This is by far the most interest we have had in any SHAFTA voting to date,” said Chris Ratcliff, Head of TVX Programming. “We want the nominees and fans to know that at this stage any vote can make a difference!”

After recently coming clean about his gay porn past, MMA fighter, Dakota Cochrane, said that he regrets his decision to star in homosexual adult films under the name, “Danny.”

Although he reportedly made 80,000 dollars while starring in XXX movies, The Fairbury Nebraska native said , “It’s definitely a decision I regret. If I would have known what would happen I definitely wouldn’t have done it. But I had money issues and I needed help. I went there to do pictures, and they started throwing pretty high numbers in front of me. I didn’t really think. It was a big mistake.”

Cochrane has gained a spot on the FX hit series, “Ultimate Fighter Live,” and admitted to UFC CEO, Dana White, immediately of his past—of which White has supported the fighter.

“I could just hide in a hole and no one would know except for the people close to me,” he said. “And to them, I was up front. I let them know right away so it wasn’t anything that could come back and bite them in the butt. I think maybe they respected that a little bit. I think some people judge against it, some people will be OK with it. Some people will want me to get my butt kicked, and hopefully others will respect what I’m trying to do.”

I Melt With You, the Magnolia Pictures indie-drama starring former porn queen Sasha Grey and Hollywood A-listers Jeremy Piven, Rob Lowe, Thomas Jane, Christian McKay and Carla Gugino, arrives on DVD and Blu-ray disc today.

Directed by Mark Pellington (Arlington Road) from a script by Glenn Porter, I Melt With You follows four male friends in their 40s as they get away to Big Sur to do drugs and cavort with loose women, bringing forth potentially dangerous consequences to each.

Grey plays Raven, a hardcore party girl who lures one of the friends into an otherworldly type of bisexual threesome.

Adult performer Kimberly Kupps and her husband both agreed to a plea deal over obscenity charges this morning.

A Florida circuit court accepted the negotiated “no contest” plea, adjudicating the pair  guilty of a single misdemeanor offense and imposing a fine of $325.

All remaining misdemeanor counts, along with the felony charge, were dismissed, pursuant to the plea agreement.

Cameras, video recorders and financial documents seized by the Polk County, Fla., Sheriff’s Office during the arrest are to be returned to the couple, which did not attend the plea hearing.

Kupps, whose legal name is Theresa Taylor, was charged in July with 13 felonies for violating the distribution  and sale of obscene material and one for the wholesale promotion of obscene material for content on her namesake site, KimberlyKupps.com.

Adult industry attorney Lawrence Walters, who defended the pair, said they have moved out of state and are happy to put this case behind them, without any jail time, probation or felony conviction.

“While I believe that these charges were unwarranted and ill-conceived, I respect Theresa’s decision to resolve the case in this manner, and move on with her life,” Walters said. “The entire prosecution was a waste of tax dollars and will have no impact on the availability of erotic materials on the Internet.

“Polk County officials are fighting a losing battle with these obscenity cases, and hopefully they will realize that sooner or later.”

The Polk County Sheriff’s Department had been investigating the big-boobs model and performer for three months after a deputy paid an initial $19.95 membership fee to her website. Florida Judge Reinaldo Ojeda reviewed Kupps’ clips and signed off on arrest warrants after he deemed the content obscene.

After Kupps was arrested, the Polk County sheriff — Grady Judd — declared war on the production and distribution of porn in his county.

“We want a wholesome community here, we don’t want smut peddlers,” Judd said, “and if they try to peddle their smut from Polk County or into Polk County we’ll be on them like a cheap suit.”

In the upcoming season on “Ultimate Fighter Live,” it has been confirmed that Dakota Cochrane has been officially outed as a gay male porn star whom performed under the name “Danny” in  XXX movies.

Cochrane—who holds an impressive 11-2 record—will be one of 32 hopefuls who will compete for a spot in the UFC house , where he could possible live for up to 13 weeks. This is the first time the television show will  take the series live. Dakota won a spot on the show after he defeated Jamie Varner at the Titan Fighting Championship on September 20, 2011.

Despite trainer, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira’s comments that he would not train gay fighters, UFC CEO, Dana White, had a different stance and, in fact encourages fighters to come out, and embraces Cochrane for his spot on the television show.

“I’ll tell you right now, if there was a gay fighter in UFC, I wish he would come out. I could care less if there’s a gay fighter in the UFC. There probably is and there’s probably more than one. I mean, it’s 2012. Give me a break.” White said during yesteryear’s 137 UFC pre-fight press conference.

After Nogueira’s comment, the sports promotion company, Zuffa, came under great scrutiny by the Las Vegas Culinary Union after being labeled, “an anti-gay organization.” However, White proclaimed at the press conference that he “didn’t care” if a Zuffa employee was gay.

The series, “Ultimate Fighter Live” airs March 9 on FX.

Vivid Entertainment’s multi-talented director B. Skow has a slate of upcoming parodies in various stages of completion that will be released later this year.

“I love making adult movies,” said Skow. “Certain mainstream films have a sexual tension that begs the freedom of being in porn and those are the titles that I select to parody,” he noted.

Skow just wrapped production of the adult comedy ClerksXXX: A Porn Parody, which spoof’s the 1994 pop culture film that featured two likeable anti-heroes Dante and Randal and was filled with juvenile humor, wise cracking and dirty language.

Now in production at Vivid, the world’s leading adult film studio, is Austin PowersXXX: A Porn Parody which lampoons the Austin Powers films, which were themselves parodies,” Skow says. “They satirized British spy movies of the 1960s, but had their own outrageous plots and sexual innuendo.  Our take-off goes beyond the pale and doesn’t need to rely on innuendo at all.”

Skow is in pre-production with Ferris Bueller’s Day OffXXX: A Porn Parody, in which he gets to tap the not so innocent side of Bueller in his spoof of the iconic character and movie. The original movie was released in 1986 and still has a huge fan following.  “I think adult movie fans who grew up watching Bueller will love this parody,” said Skow.

Girlfriends Films has set a Feb. 28 release date for Women Seeking Women: Volume 80. The four-scene, two-hour-plus feature marks the return of Phoenix Marie to the Girlfriends fold.

LFP Video and Full Spread Entertainment have announced an early March release for their live-action spoof of Seth Macfarlane’s long-running animated FOX comedy series “Family Guy.”

Family Guy: The XXX Parody finds Peter Griffin (Anthony Rosano) and his Quahog neighbors desperately trying to spice up their sex lives, except, of course, for resident pervert Quagmire (James Deen), who is simply, according to the movie’s synopsis, looking to have sex with a “conscious non-Asian.”

Co-starring are Aurora Snow as Lois Griffin, Sarah Shevon as Meg Griffin, Tyler Knight and Misty Stone as Cleveland and Loretta Brown and Dick Delaware and Jennifer White as Joe and Bonnie Swanson.

While a significant number (33%) of American adults say they “never” view adult content and 20% say they only partake once or twice a year or less, 22% say they view it once or twice a month and 16% admit they enjoy it once or twice a week. Additionally, 6% of Americans polled said they view adult materials daily, 2% said they utilize it more than once a day, and 2% refused to answer.

Interestingly, when the same question was asked to Adam & Eve’s Facebook followers, 53% said they viewed adult content every day. Thirty-two percent said they enjoy viewing the material once or twice a week, 5% chose more than once a day, 3% said they utilize it once or twice a month and 3% said once or twice a year. Four percent of Facebook followers said they never view explicit materials.

Dr. Kat Van Kirk, Adam & Eve’s resident sex expert, says, “We’re all visual creatures and utilizing erotic movies can be a great way to explore our sexualities individually and as couples. It can be a fantastic way to break the monotony in a relationship and even learn a few new tricks.
