As reported on TMZ.com porn legend Ron Jeremy and some friends were assaulted by pepper spray in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Jeremy and his party were getting a bite at Mel’s Diner on the Sunset Strip in LA when a paparazzo named Nasim Saleh allegedly confronted them. A source told TMZ.com that Saleh began taking pictures and getting in their business, when one of Jeremy’s friends got up from his seat and protested the photographer’s actions.

The source went on to say that Saleh allegedly took out pepper spray and sprayed the man, which sent fumes from the toxic liquid throughout the eatery.

Saleh was arrested for criminal use of tear gas, which is a felony, and taken into custody. The source said that Saleh identified himself as a TMZ photographer. TMZ.com denies that Saleh is under their employ.

According to the source Ron Jeremy continued to eat throughout the incident.
