Axel Braun Named Best Director-Parody and, for Third Consecutive Year, Director of the Year-Body of Work

Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody from Axel Braun Productions and Vivid Entertainment, won eight coveted AVN Awards on Saturday, including “The best selling and renting movie of the year.” Its director Axel Braun was honored as Best Director-Parody for his work on Star Wars XXX, and made history by winning for the third consecutive year as “Director of the Year-Body of Work.” The awards were among a dozen picked up by Vivid and its partners.

Complementing its honor as best seller and renter, Star Wars XXX was selected for “Best Art Direction,” “Best Overall Marketing Campaign,” “Best Parody-Comedy,” “Best Screenplay-Parody” and “Best Director-Parody,” while Tom Byron was selected as “Best Supporting Actor” for his outstanding turn as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the film.

“Being singled out as the best selling and renting movie of the year is a ringing endorsement for Star Wars XXX and for our strategy of presenting unequalled parodies that fans most want to see,” said Steven Hirsch, founder/co-chairman of Vivid.
