The New York Daily News is reporting that the madam that provided call girls for former New York Governor Elliot Spitzer claims to have had a relationship with controversial Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez.

The Daily News story alleges that former madam Kristin Davis not only set up encounters with call girls for Rodriguez, but also dated the baseball star herself.

When asked to comment on the story by Newsday.com. Davis, who served a three-month prison sentence and is on five years probation after pleading guilty to promoting prostitution, admitted that “there is a connection” between herself and A-Rod, but would not go into detail about their relationship.

” (I don’t) talk about my personal life or who I date,” Davis told Newsday.

A-Rod is currently in Vail, Colorado rehabbing after recent hip surgery.

Davis is currently selling her memoir on her website, www.manhattanmadam.com. There she claims to have provided services for a “roster of 10,000 rich, powerful and famous clients.”

In the Daily News story, Davis intimated that A-Rod sought a relationship with her.

“Throughout the years, there were a number of clients that I befriended and it was not uncommon for them to want the women they can’t have whether it be the phone bookers or the madam,” Davis said.

The Daily News story also included steamy e-mails purportedly between Davis and Rodriguez. When confronted with the e-mails, Davis told the newspaper: “Other people have access to my client records as well as my personal information and I can’t control what has been released.”
