Last week TheDirty.com published a story that claimed to have information about an affair between Lakers franchise player Kobe Bryant and a member of the Lakers Girls cheering squad. Today, the celebrity gossip site TMZ.com claims that they are in possession of a “cease and desist” letter that was sent by Bryant’s legal representative to the owners of The Dirty.com.

TMZ claims that the letter instructs TheDirty.com to “remove Kobe’s name, image, and likeness, and any information that relates in any way to him.”

The Lakers Girl linked to Bryant in the report has since resigned from the squad, and any photo or reference to her can no longer be found on the Lakers’ official website. As of this writing, the story linking Bryant to the Lakers Girl is still posted on The Dirty.com.
