In a story published on TMZ.com, the gossip site’s sources report that Clay Aiken is the father of his best friend, and record producer Jaymes Foster’s baby.
Foster is 50 years old and the sister of recording industry mogul David Foster. Aiken, the runner-up on the second season of American Idol, is 29 and lives with the mother of his child when he is spending time in Los Angeles.
The TMZ report states that Aiken impregnated Foster through artificial insemination, and the plan is for him to have an active role in the raising of the child. This is the first child for either Foster or Aiken. Foster is divorced, and Aiken has never been married. The baby is due in August.
