New York Knicks center Eddy Curry is at the center of a scandalous
sexual-harassment suit filed by his former male driver, who is claiming among other things that Curry attempted to entice him into gay sexual relationships.
The story, as reported by the New York Post, says that Curry, who is married with three children, repeatedly approached chauffeur David Kuchinsky “in the nude,” and allegedly told him, “Look at me, Dave, look” and “Come and touch it, Dave.”
Eddy Curry has denied these claims and charges.
“I’m shocked, really,” said Curry, “He approached my friends a while back, trying to get money. I just never, ever thought it would go past what it did, which was just idle threats, money-or-else kind of stuff.”
Kuchinsky, who worked for Curry from October 2005 through October 2008, is also claiming that Curry made him perform “humiliating tasks outside the scope of his employment, such as cleaning up and removing dirty towels [Curry had ejaculated into] so that his wife would not see them.”
Kuchinsky, a straight Jewish man, is also making charges of racial discrimination, claiming that Curry used slurs towards him that included “fucking Jew,” “cracker,” “white slave,” “white devil” and “grandmaster of the KKK.”
“Everyone who knows me knows I’m not a racist,” Curry said in response to these allegations. “I’ve never made a comment like that, playing, or nothing. Aside from the fact I wouldn’t do it because I’m not racist, I wouldn’t do it because I wouldn’t want someone to play with me like that. That’s incredible, man.”
Another allegation Kuchinsky is making is that Curry pointed a “fully loaded” gun at him on at least two separate occasions to keep him from complaining about his treatment.
“Look, I have one in the chamber,” is what Curry allegedly said.
Curry says the suit is a desperate ploy for money by Kuchinsky.
“It’s like a prime example of you got to watch who’s around you,” Curry said. “This is a guy who I really thought he was my friend up until the last four, five months. I can’t even believe this happened. … I can’t believe it went this far. I can’t believe someone would represent something like that.”
Kuchinsky’s history includes a 1992 burglary conviction that resulted in a 3-year prison sentence as well as a 2004 resisting-arrest conviction.
