Second year for NY/NJ adult consumer show solidifies EXXXOTICA as the biggest consumer event in the country!

The numbers are in and the 2009 NY/NJ edition of the EXXXOTICA Expo (presented by HotMovies.com) wrapped up its second year last week, and organizers Victory Tradeshow Management report that even with potential obstacles thrown in its path, this year’s event steamrolled over them and was indeed bigger and better as the show was billed.

This year’s show, which ran at the NJ Expo Center in Edison, NJ Friday, September 25th through Sunday, September 27th, once again saw about 18,000 total attendees descend on a convention hall that was more than twice the size of the year before. In addition to the record-breaking number of attendees for the show, EXXXOTICA saw a media blitz featuring over 100 outlets covering the show including all of the major network news crews covering the show.

Members of the media broke the story that a last-minute attempt by the Edison city council to amend zoning ordinances that would outlaw the show if it was within 1,000 feet of a public park, school or house of worship. But despite their efforts, the show went on without a hitch, as the venue was approximately eight inches safely outside of the council’s imposed boundaries, allowing the show to go on as scheduled and without any additional restrictions.

Highlights of the show included the show’s massive “Fantasy Island” booth which was sponsored by Genesis Magazine, and that hosted such adult superstars as Jesse Jane, Sasha Grey, Jenna Haze, Teagan Presley, Eva Angelina, Bree Olson, Kayden Kross, Sunny Leone, Gina Lynn, Savanna Samson and her fellow Vivid Girls Monique Alexander, AJ Bailey and Meggan Mallone, Nina Mercedez, Taryn Thomas, Isis Taylor, Moxxie Maddron, Lexi Love, Alexis Ford and the final adult industry appearance of Penny Flame.

This year’s show also marked the debut of “Legends of EXXXOTICA,” which was sponsored by Club Magazine and featured the largest collection of adult hall of famers ever assembled under one roof. XXX icons such as Seka, Lisa Ann, Heather Hunter, Kylie Ireland, Sean Michaels, Taylor Wane, Teri Weigel, Ginger Lynn, Christy Canyon, Mr. Marcus, Alexandra Silk, Luc Wylder, and more greeted enthusiastic fans for the three days of the show. The new attraction was an overwhelming hit for the attendees, stars and media.

Indeed, the stars were shining at the show. While both “Fantasy Island” and the “Legends” booths hosted non-stop lines of rabid fans who wanted to meet their adult idols, various booths around the show floor enjoyed the same enthusiasm with names like Tera Patrick, Ron Jeremy, Sunny Lane, Wicked Girls Jessica Drake and Alektra Blue, Courtney Cummz, Joanna Angel, Naomi Banxxx, Amy Fisher and dozens more who made the trek across the country to strut their stuff to the Garden State faithful. The stars and vendors enjoyed their most successful trade show to date with many of them reporting record sales of their merchandise.

EXXXOTICA’s entertainment stage (sponsored by Clips4Sale.com) featured a non-stop schedule of shows. Highlights included Saturday evening’s performance of hip-hop pioneers 2 Live Crew, daily interactive shows such as a “Family Feud” game show parody featuring the Vivid Girls from the past and present, “How Wicked Are You?” starring the Wicked Girls, and all-star panels where fans could ask their favorite stars any and all questions. One version of this featured all of the legends where a standing ovation was given to the stars who helped pave the way for adult as it is today.

EXXXOTICA MIAMI BEACH 2009 STANDS UP TO RECESSION!

EXXXOTICA’s entertainment stage was also a huge hit and featured a busy schedule that kept fans entertained from the minute doors opened to the end of the weekend. The Wicked Girls did an amazing job of hosting the interactive “truth or dare” game show “How Wicked Are You?” while a seemingly endless cavalcade of superstars were a hit as usual as they participated in GENESIS magazine’s daily live question and answer sessions. Award-winning feature entertainer Lexi Lamour and the always sexy RubberDoll treated the crowds to their scintillating dance routines, Amy Fisher hosted the Mother’s Day MILF contest, and as always, one of the best received events of the weekend was the Ms. EXXXOTICA Competition which crowned its newest winner, the gorgeous Andrea Sullivan.

For the first time attendees were introduced to a new part of EXXXOTICA, Sunday’s NITRO Submission Fighting Tournament. This morning Stormy Daniels appeared live in CNN to talk about her possible entry into the 2010 Louisiana Senate race. Police reports say that the 47-year-old woman told authorities she had the adult material sent to the neighbor’s house as her way of getting payback after being charged with a misdemeanor because of a complaint made by the other woman.

The neighbor told police she was billed hundreds of dollars for magazines such as Playboy and Hustler. (What! No Genesis?!!)

The woman pleaded no contest to felonious tampering with records and has been in jail since her March 16 conviction.

Her husband said he can’t believe she was sent to jail over the dispute.

Her lawyers have asked a judge to suspend the rest of the sentence, noting it was her first felony conviction.

A CNN.com report says that the growing movement to draft porn star Stormy Daniels to run for the U.S. Senate seat in Louisiana is not a joke or gimmick, and that Stormy’s fans truly believe that the lady that ranked #1 in GENESIS magazine’s Top 100 Girls In Porn rankings for 2008 is the right choice to take the Senate seat currently held by Republican Sen. David Vitter.

The Draft Stormy website says that “2010 presents the Pelican State with the opportunity to start with a clean slate — to elect a representative that we can be proud of, who will work tirelessly, and who will challenge the status quo. We at the Draft Stormy campaign feel that Baton Rouge native Stormy Daniels is best suited to fulfill these duties.”

Seeking comment on a possible Daniels senate campaign, Vitter’s office didn’t return calls by CNN. However, a spokesman for the state GOP said voters “are concerned with real issues that affect their everyday lives and not with political or publicity stunts.”

The incumbent does have a link to the seedier side of life in his own past, as Vitter’s name and number turned up in records of an escort service run by the late Deborah Jeane Palfrey, known as the D.C. Madam during a 2007 investigation.

Vitter later admitted to his indiscretions, calling the scandal “a very serious sin in my past.”

The Draft Stormy campaign was started by New Orleans resident and Daniels fan Zack Hudson, who insists it’s for real.

Though Daniels, 29, has not yet thrown her hat into the political ring, she is exploring the possibility of perhaps venturing into politics. Taking a page out of the Hillary Clinton political strategy playbook, Daniels plans to embark on a “listening tour” around her home state to talk about a range of matters, including the economy – which along with women in business and protection of children are the three issues listed on her site.

When asked point blank about her political aspirations and told that Vitter could be a very tough opponent, Daniels said that she is “always up for a good fight.”

“I think anyone that knows me … is more than aware of that,” Daniels said. “Politics can’t be any dirtier of a job than the one I am already in.”

According to a bio on the Draft Stormy Web site, Daniels has been “breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings her entire life,” serving as editor of her high school newspaper and president of her school’s 4-H Club and eventually transferring “her determination and talents to the professional level, becoming a featured performer in the adult entertainment industry.”

Another stride was “signing an exclusive contract with the video production company Wicked Pictures, a company committed to a health and safety first policy, as pertaining to its video performances. Stormy’s decision to sign with Wicked highlighted her commitment to sending a positive message to young people of the importance of practicing safe sex,” the bio said.

“Originally, the focus wasn’t even about making me as a candidate,” Daniels said. “I think it was about bringing attention to the Senate race in general. Then the response was overwhelmingly positive. And I think everyone is just running with it.”
