Macie, a stand-up comedy headliner who travels all over the world, was a finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2006, appeared on E! Entertainment, Fuel TV, HSN, Sirius and XM Radio, Bob & Tom, Access Hollywood, and was labeled an “emerging talent to watch” by the Hollywood Reporter at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in 2005.

Macie is a regular guest on the Howard Stern Show, where in 2008 she was voted the “Funniest and Hottest” comedian in America. She has appeared on Showtime in the documentary I Am Comic, and in the Showtime stand-up specials Vegas Is My Oyster and Snoop Dogg Presents The Bad Girls of Comedy.

Macie says she’s ready to make the AVN Awards’ colorful crowd laugh: “I’m really excited to host the awards. A lot of amazing comics have hosted in previous years, so I’ll be able to join them and put my cool pants on for a night.”

The lineup of famously raunchy comics who have hosted the AVN Awards is sizable. Macie follows “Queen of Mean” Lisa Lampanelli, Dave Attell, and Thea Vidale in recent years, and she knows the challenge of entertaining an audience that has seen—and probably done—everything.

“I really like the lineup of dirty comics the awards have had,” Macie said. “That’s usually my type of humor and I gravitate towards that; it’s my sensibility. I feel like my stuff is always edgier anyway, so I’m sticking with what I do. I like to say that I empower women one dick joke at a time.”

Macie has seen the awards broadcast before and called it a thrill. She plans on watching some of the ones she hasn’t seen and said she wishes she could see them all. Of course, she also plans on doing the proper amount of research by diving into a package of nominated movies supplied by AVN. “I definitely plan on doing my porn homework,” Macie stated. “I told my boyfriend that Christmas came early this year.”

The red carpet at the AVN Awards is the fast-paced, star-studded precursor to the adult entertainment industry’s most prestigious and glamorous awards show. The 2013 event will take place January 19, 2013, at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. AVN Media announces its list of nominations for the 2013 AVN Awards. The collective breath the adult entertainment industry has been holding while it anticipates the announcement of the nominees for the AVN Awards can be exhaled. The highly sought-after list of nominees for the 2013 AVN Awards has arrived.

A committee of 10 AVN critics spent close to a month and a half compiling nominations in over 130 categories recognizing companies, talent, technicians, and creative professionals across the spectrum of the adult entertainment industry.

Several new categories were created to reflect the ever-evolving market trends of the business; these include Best Star

Showcase (a movie centered around one female performer by both incorporating her name into its title and featuring her in all of its sex scenes), Best Romance Release (a title with a romance theme/storyline marketed specifically toward women or couples and/or released under a Romance or Couples-Themed line), and Best Transsexual Sex Scene.

Additionally, a number of formerly familiar categories have been reintroduced to the awards as the market has expanded accordingly. Back for 2013 are Best New Production Company and Best Continuing Series (which was previously known as Best All-Sex/Vignette Series).

Finishing up the housekeeping, Best Feature was renamed Best Drama in order to properly complement Best Comedy, and Best All-Sex Release – Mixed Format was retitled Best Wall-to-Wall Release for those releases mixing scene genres between gonzo, vignette and all-sex.

“Everybody on our nominations committee has literally poured their blood, sweat, and tears into producing this list over the past six or so weeks, and I can honestly say that in my almost decade at AVN, I don’t think we’ve ever done a more meticulous and thorough job,” AVN Senior Editor Peter Warren said. “I am very pleased with the nominees we’ve come up with, and wish them all a stupendous weekend basking in the glow of being recognized.”

Digital Playground exclusive Jesse Jane appears in the August 2012 issue of Maxim En Espanol, photographed by Kyle Goldie at El Matador State Beach in Malibu.

“I love my spread in Maxim,” Jane said. “It was great working with Kyle Goldie and his team of people in Malibu. The pictures are amazing, and it’s always an honor to be in Maxim.”

Along with the bikini pictorial, Jane provides the Latin publication with an interview in which she talks about raising her young son, why her life would make for a good reality show and, of course, sex… lots of sex.

“I think about sex all the time,” she admits to the magazine. “I’m worse than a guy. Everyone tells me that life shouldn’t revolve around sex, but I just laugh. It just means they’re not getting enough!”

Those people, however, needn’t feel too bad; Jane offers them advice on how to keep things interesting.

“Always mix things up; never get stuck in a routine,” she says. “Role-play, do it at different times, do something you’ve never done before. If you keep things fresh, your sex life will always be fun and exciting.”

NightMoves® Awards Announces Nominations and celebrates a 20 year milestone by adding new categories to the National Ballot

With the adult market shifting more and more to the internet NightMoves® has added several new categories to the National Ballot. The first being, “Best Social Media Star”. This is directly determined by how well a performer promotes themselves to their fans via popular social media outlets like, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. “Best Website (individual performer)”and “Best Multi-site Network” have also been added for the first time this year.

In the past several years “Parody” movies have dominated the adult industry. NightMoves® has split this genre of movies into 3 categories: “Best Parody – Comedy”, “Best Parody – Drama” and “Best Parody – Super Hero”. “There were so many great parodies released this year, it was almost unfair NOT to break them up”, said National Features Editor and Movie Reviewer, Art Koch.

Digital Playground has announced the release of Nurses 2,” the follow-up to the original hit in 2009 with another strong ensemble cast that features five of the company’s exclusive contract girls.

Jesse Jane, Kayden Kross, Riley Steele, Selena Rose and BiBi Jones headline Nurses 2, while Alexis Texas, Nikita Von James, Manuel Ferrara, James Deen, Mick Blue, Erik Everhard and Ben English round out the talent.
