EXXXOTICA Expo’s Charity Initiative In Edison, NJ Is A Major Success

The counts are in from the charitable effort, “EXXXOTICA Gives Back” at the New Jersey Expo Center during EXXXOTICA NJ, and they show a huge support from fans and exhibitors alike. With close to $5,000 in cash donated to the Little Ferry Relief Fund, nearly one-ton of food and supplies, and a highly-successful Red-Cross blood drive, the effort couldn’t have been more of a victory for the area.

The EXXXOTICA Expo took place just over a week after Hurricane Sandy tore through New Jersey and New York, and just two days after Nor’easter Athena took out even more powerlines with anywhere from three to eight inches of snow, winds and storm surges. While most residents of the area were still coping with the aftermath, thousands flocked to EXXXOTICA to let off some much needed steam. But it wasn’t just about having fun for these fans, as many took part in EXXXOTICA Gives Back — a program designed to pay it forward to New Jersey, an area which has treated this annual event for five straight years.

Three Expo Events, LLC, the organizers of EXXXOTICA, created an area on the show floor where attendees, exhibitors and stars could donate food, clothing and household items, as well as bid on one-of-a-kind items via a tricky tray auction and donate funds around the convention center hall.

Before the doors even opened on Friday afternoon, two pick up trucks filled with items needed by victims of the storm pulled up to the loading dock, setting the tone for a weekend of philanthropy by the EXXXOTICA faithful.

At the EXXXOTICA Gives Back exhibition area, adult film stars such as Lisa Ann, Tasha Reign, Tera Patrick, Mari Possa, Stoya, Christie Stevens and Allie Haze donated time from their schedules to raise funds for the charity effort. Major names from the industry such as Kristina Rose, Raylene, Raven Bay, XXX Church, the stars of Spartacus XXX, and others also pitched in.

Close to $5,000 in cash was raised and will be donated on behalf of EXXXOTICA to the Moonachie/Little Ferry Relief Fund. This fund was set up to aid the two Bergen County, New Jersey communities which were ravaged by flood waters leaving a path of destruction and many homeless in its wake. The final donation made by XXXChurch.com rounded the total to $5,000.

“We are so proud of our attendees and exhibitors stepping up to the plate and making the ‘EXXXOTICA Gives Back’ disaster relief drive a huge success,” commented J. Handy, Director of EXXXOTICA. “The support from everyone was overwhelming. It was an incredible feeling being able to contribute to help the community that has supported us so much over the years. We hope this pay it forward mentality continues until these areas are whole again.”

”That is so amazing!” said a spokesperson for the relief fund when informed about the donation. “Thank you so much for your hard work and the generosity of your attendees and exhibitors, as well as your company for organizing this. The money will help these towns. People need help. We have a firehouse to rebuild. Thank you again!”

Those wishing to help more can donate directly to the organization by sending both monetary donations and gift cards to: Moonachie/Little Ferry Relief Fund, PO Box 77, Wood-Ridge, NJ 07075.

The truckloads of donated household and food items were also overwhelming. These items which included non-perishable food items, household goods, cleaning supplies, toiletries, toys and more are being delivered to Edison, NJ area charities and food banks to help those in need.

In addition, as part of EXXXOTICA Gives Back, the Red Cross conducted a blood drive at the expo on Saturday afternoon. Dozens in attendance for EXXXOTICA gave blood to help replenish blood banks, which were wiped out by the storm.

“We have the best fans and exhibitors in the world,” added Handy. “The way they came through for their community is truly amazing and a testament that charity begins at home. It has inspired us to always have a charity aspect to our events for now on no matter what time of the year or city that we are in. The fact that we can do good like this definitely inspires our entire team.”

EXXXOTICA will be returning to the area next year with the debut of EXXXOTICA Atlantic City, April 19-21, at the Trump Taj Mahal. Later in the year, EXXXOTICA will also make its debut in Fort Lauderdale, along with returns to Chicago, IL.

Digital Playground superstar voices anger, and describes gory scenario to make an example of former scene partner.

During her appearance on the Velvet Radio adult podcast (http://velvetxxx.com) Stoya was asked about her feelings on Mr. Marcus, the male performer at the center of the porn industry’s recent STD scandal. Living up to her reputation for being a lady who speaks her mind, Stoya pulled no punches when expressing her thoughts on the subject.

“In the straight portion of the adult industry, most of us don’t use condoms. We have this faith in our testing system, and this faith in each other not to fake tests…He (Mr. Marcus) violated that trust, and then he tried to defend it…he doesn’t seem that apologetic.”

“I will never be working with Mr. Marcus again,” Stoya continued, “unless he really seems like he has grown as a person, and is expressing actual regret. I don’t think he should ever work in adult again.”

From there Stoya considered aloud about an imagined scenario that would make an example of Mr. Marcus, and send a message to the entire industry.

“And should anything unfortunate happen to him and he no longer be living, I think his head should be displayed in a biohazard bag outside of CET (testing service). So when people come in and they’re new to the industry, they can go– ‘What’s that thing that looks like a head in that biohazard bag?’ And they can (answer)– ‘Well, that’s the head of the last man who faked a test.’”

At the end of the interview Stoya wanted to make it clear that her words were not to be mistaken as a threat, or an insinuation for herself or anyone to commit a harmful or criminal act.

“For the record, I’m not suggesting that anything unfortunate should happen to Mr. Marcus. But if something should happen and we have the opportunity to make a visual example….”

In a 2010 interview with Video World TV, Stoya talked about her desire to one day shoot a scene with Mr. Marcus. In 2011 the wish came true as Stoya and Marcus shared what was billed as her first interracial scene in the Digital Playground release, Bad Girls 6.

Second Year In Windy City For EXXXOTICA Shows Growth Across The Board As Attendees, Exhibitors and Stars All Give Glowing Reviews

EXXXOTICA Chicago (www.chi.eXXXoticaexpo.com) has closed another chapter with its second show in the Windy City region and fifteenth overall, and the reviews are pouring in with a common theme — amazing!

EXXXOTICA, which took place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center this past weekend, July 13-15, had fans, exhibitors, stars and media clamoring about the fun had, money made and engaging sights to see at the nation’s largest event dedicated to love and sex. With increased attendance, a jam-packed schedule of standing room only stage shows and seminars, a convention center floor overflowing with exhibitors, adult stars around every corner, and cash-in-hand attendees, EXXXOTICA Chicago 2012 will go on the books as the best show to date.

Attendance for the expo increased by approximately 15% in total from last year’s record-setting debut, and that success was realized by exhibitors who are reporting sales like never before. More women than ever took advantage of “Ladies Free Friday.” Some had their husbands boyfriends and significant others in tow, while many had a girl’s night out with their BFF’s taking in the sights and sounds of EXXXOTICA.

After Friday’s masses, Saturday brought a constantly flowing crowd through the expo’s doors for 10 straight hours. Sunday also saw an increased attendance from previous shows, with many taking advantage of all three days of the expo’s diversity in events and number of exhibitors and stars who came to give the Chicagoland area a taste of the wild side of life.

“We set the bar high for our second year of EXXXOTICA Chicago, and feel that we not only met our goals, but exceeded them on so many fronts,” said J. Handy, Director of EXXXOTICA. “Our sincere thanks go out to all of the exhibitors, stars, stage performers, seminar speakers, and representatives of the media who supported this show. But most importantly, thank you to all of the fans who made EXXXOTICA Chicago 2012 an event to remember for all of us.”

Over 100 stars and 130 exhibitors attended EXXXOTICA and showed the region the best that the adult world has to offer. The dual seminar areas were packed for every topic, with some, such as “Rocking Her World” from Seymore Butts and a daily exploration of the Fifty Shades phenomenon, forcing EXXXOTICA’s crews to “take down the walls” to fit more people in. Surprises also awaited fans around the massive show floor, including the debut of the Fleshlight Wrestling Organization, as superstars Stoya, Tanya Tate, Teagan Presley, Alexis Texas, Brooklyn Lee and Lisa Ann took part in the sexy but messy lube wrestling which had crowds cheering and jeering for their favorites.

The xPeeps Entertainment Stage schedule proved to be the best yet. Fans were treated daily to incredible stage shows highlighted by RubberDoll — who treated the crowds to her amazing latex fetish performances, Stoya and Belladonna performing aerial feats sexier than ever before seen, MEN: The Show, who pleased the ladies, and the crowing of a new Ms. EXXXOTICA, Eva Lovia. The crowd jammed the stage area and were treated to a hip hop performance by the legendary Young MC who showed everyone just how it’s supposed to be done. Young MC’s headlining set Saturday night on the main stage had hands in the air, booties bouncing and thousands busting a move as he performed his hit songs and some new material that downright rocked the joint.

The area media was also out in full force, with major television networks, print publications from the area and nation, and various other bloggers, websites and photogs covering EXXXOTICA. Everyone had glowing reviews of the event, and the stars and attendees were thrilled to share their EXXXOTICA experience with them.

When the show closed, the parties started. Official after parties took place all over the area at venues such as Heavenly Bodies, Bar None and aboard the yacht Anita Dee II on Lake Michigan with an all-star roster of stars hosting. VIP ticket holders also danced the night away on Friday and Saturday nights at the show’s after parties at the Hyatt, with DJ Geenius, Rubberdoll and Lisa Ann hosting “EXXXOTICA the 13th” on Friday, and the EXXXOTICA Prom on Saturday hosted by the incomparable DJ Cheapshot along with Joanna Angel and the Burning Angel girls.

Exhibitors couldn’t be happier with EXXXOTICA. “We’ve just finished our second show and are anxiously awaiting and planning for our third. From pre-planning, to show set-up, and everything in between, the staff at EXXXOTICA ensures a fantastic and seamless experience. Digital Playground star Stoya is featured in a retro “Mad Men” inspired layout in the June issue of Penthouse magazine.

Appropriately titled “Men Are Mad About Stoya,” the multi-page layout sees Stoya paying homage to the ‘50’s and ‘60’s style that has been made popular by the AMC television show.

Mainstream lensman Steve Prue, whose work has appeared in Playboy, TMZ, Inked, A&E and MTV, shot the photos. He has also photographed celebrities including Vanilla Ice, T-Pain, the Cast of NY Ink, and others.

“I really wanted to be in Penthouse,” Stoya said. “Steve Prue took some super pretty pictures and made it happen. This is better than chocolate and almost as good as a double penetration.”
