Brooklyn Lee, the reigning XBIZ “Female Performer of the Year,” has announced plans to retire from porn.

Lee posted her intentions on the adult industry discussion forum, Adult DVD Talk, on Wednesday. Her agent Mark Spiegler also confirmed her plans to XBIZ.

In Lee’s post, she said, “… Also yes, I have retired. Off to other things and greener pastures. It’s time for me to focus on the bigger picture; my education. Just going to school and being me. All is well… the adult industry is simply no longer a place I belong or wish to be.”

Her post continued, “There has been some speculation that I quit because of my long-time boyfriend, who is a figure behind the scenes in the industry. I would love to tell you that I am a fully liberated woman who does what she pleases and can easily separate work life from home. I won’t lie to you. While the man that I love never once asked me to quit performing, I did do so in part because of him. When you reach a point where you loathe heading to set because there’s only one person in the world you have any desire to have sex with, it’s time to move on from sex work… so I did.

“I take with me many fond memories and unique experiences; I wish the very best to my friends that remain in adult. I came, I saw, I conquered… and now I’m done.”

Lee said to look for Vivid Entertainment’s release of its remake of Behind the Green Door, a movie in which she was the lead, this September.

“I would say that it’s the best work I’ve ever done. Nothing I could ever do could compete with it… so why bother?

“You can also see me in Deborah Anderson’s Aroused Project, on Hulu, iTunes and theaters near you. The whole thing turned out really beautifully.”

Lee was unavailable for comment at post time. However Spiegler said that the star had indicated she would perform in one more movie before bowing out, noting she is scheduled to be the lead in Evil Angel’s Voracious 2 which begins shooting later this month. Lee earned critical acclaim for her lead role in the original Voracious, an episodic web series directed by John Stagliano that also was released on DVD in 2012.

Lee has performed in more than 130 movies since beginning her porn career in 2010. Last week, she won a pair of honors at the 29th annual X-Rated Critics Organization Awards, taking home” Superslut” and “Orgasmic Oralist” trophies.

Spiegler said Lee has already enrolled in college on a pre-med track.

“You can’t do porn forever, and this is like planning ahead for the future and she will do well in school,” he said. “She’s very smart and really good at writing.”

Vivid Entertainment and Axel Braun picked up major honors once again at the XRCO Awards ceremony, which was held over the weekend at the famed Supperclub in Hollywood. Undisputed King of Parody Braun added another prestigious trophy to his extensive collection by winning Best Director/Parody for the third year in a row. The “Best Parody/Comedy” award went to the ABP/Vivid mega-blockbuster Star Wars XXX while “Best Parody/Comic Book” was given to fan favorite Superman Vs Spider-Man XXX.

“This is total awesomeness!” said a clearly thrilled and sleep-deprived Braun, who welcomed a baby girl into his family just four days earlier. “Keeping up the level of quality that we have established with these parodies is not an easy task, and I have to thank Eli Cross and my incredible crew for all their hard work and support. Every movie we make is truly a labor of love, and I’m just lucky to receive accolades for doing something that I enjoy so much.”

This is the first award for Superman vs. Spider-Man XXX, Braun’s big-budget spoof of the 1976 cult classic crossover comic, poised to be a major contender during the upcoming awards season.

Since 1984 the X-Rated Critics Organization has given writers and editors from the adult entertainment industry a voice in selecting the yearly best in X-Rated movies. XRCO recognizes works of excellence, specifically the unique qualities of sexually explicit films.

Production of Man Of Steel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody wrapped recently in Los Angeles, and those who have been on the set unanimously agree that this might be Braun’s finest work to date. The parody movie debuts from Vivid Entertainment on June 14th.

“It was an epic undertaking, and I’m totally thrilled with the result,” says Braun, who has won dozens of awards for his adult parodies. “I think I pushed my compulsive attention to detail to a whole new level with the costumes…it might not mean much by Hollywood standards, but each of our Man Of Steel XXX suits costs more than the entire budget of most porn movies.”

But the big news is that in Braun’s movie Superman (played by Ryan Driller), aside from his classic blue/red costume, also wears a black one. “Supes has donned a black outfit before in the comics,” says notoriously über-geeky director Braun, “most memorably in the Death and Return of Superman storyline from 1992, which is one of my favorites.”

Braun says his original screenplay for Man of Steel XXX features a much larger cast of characters from the Superman universe. “No Zod, but definitely more boobs,” he says. The full cast includes Lex Luthor (fellow director Eli Cross, in an explosive non-sex performance), Batman (Giovanni Francesco, reprising the role he originated in Braun’s “The Dark Knight XXX”), Wonder Woman (Kimberly Kane), Lois Lane (Kirsten Price), Lana Lang (Samantha Ryan), Livewire (Sasha Knox), Silver Banshee (Skin Diamond), Angle Man (Alan Stafford), Dr. Fate (Eric Masterson), Zatanna (Kendall Karson) and Bizarro (Billy Glide).

Braun was honored in January at the AVN Awards (known as the “Oscars of Porn”) as “Best Director-Parody” for his work on the blockbuster hit Star Wars XXX, and made history by winning the coveted “Director of the Year-Body of Work” award for the third consecutive year, a feat never before accomplished by anybody in the adult industry.

Here’s a switch. Adult star James Deen has a chance to star in a parody of his own mainstream movie.

TMZ reported that Vivid Entertainment co-chairman Steven Hirsch has sent a letter to Deen asking him to direct and star in a film spoofing the Hollywood production of The Canyons that he starred in with Lindsay Lohan.

The letter said that Vivid’s been following the film with “great anticipation” and VividTV is interested in producing a parody version.

“It would be a first in parodies…the actual star of a mainstream movie also starring in an X-rated version of that same movie. How cool is that?,” the letter said.

Hirsch goes on to say that the project would be a great place for Deen to showcase his acting and directing talents for more mainstream exposure.

Vivid said it has already lined up a cast list of “hot women” to play Lohan.

Deen was contacted by XBIZ but had not responded by post time.

Complementing its honor as best seller and renter, Star Wars XXX was selected for “Best Art Direction,” “Best Overall Marketing Campaign,” “Best Parody-Comedy,” “Best Screenplay-Parody” and “Best Director-Parody,” while Tom Byron was selected as “Best Supporting Actor” for his outstanding turn as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the film.

TMZ reported that since the pop icon announced that she and singer Kanye West are having a baby, sales on the Vivid Entertainment Kim Kardashian Superstar sex tape have gone trough the roof.

Kardashian made the tape with hip hop star Ray J.

Vivid told TMZ that the VOD purchases have increased 80 percent since last Sunday night, that represents the biggest bump seen since Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries.

Even before the news about her pregnancy, West’s relationship with Kardashian has helped spike sales on the taper according to Vivid, that said both overall VOD and DVD sales have steadily increased every month since the two stars became a couple last spring.

Veteran adult film star Devon has returned to the adult entertainment biz after a five-year break, performing in a four-part Brazzers series called Till Dick Do Us Part.

The first scene from the series, co-starring Reylene, will be released on Friday and all four parts will be available on DVD later this year in a special release showcasing Devon’s return to the industry.

Devon, a former contract star for Vivid Entertainment, Shane’s World and Digital Playground, broke into porn in 1998. She is 35.

“The scenes are guaranteed reminders why Devon is one of the top starlets this industry has ever seen,” said Yancee Ehm, Brazzers’ content manager. “It’s always a pleasure to work with her, and we’re proud that she chose to make her return under our banner.”

Varone was reported to have had sex with more, than 3,000 women during his rock career.

Andrew Garfield, star of Columbia Pictures’ upcoming reboot The Amazing Spider-Man, revealed during a recent press interview that he has seen Vivid Entertainment’s adult parody Spider-Man XXX a “few times.”

“I watched it more from an inspirational stand point than from a sexual standpoint,” Garfield told Hollywood.com. “I think you can find inspiration from anywhere when it comes to this character because it’s everyone’s; it belongs to everyone — porn actors, kids.”

Garfield, a Los Angeles-born, England-raised actor who caught his break playing Facebook cofounder Eduardo Saverin in the 2010 drama The Social Network, also shared his “porn name” with the site (Sticky Hillman) and mocked that of interviewer Matt Patches (Davis George) for being the most boring porn moniker ever.

Alexis Ford has landed the lead role as Snow White in Rob Black’s new Sinister X Syndicate production, Snow White: A Fairy Tale Films XXX Parody.

XBIZ has learned that this will be Ford’s first role as part of a new five-picture deal with the studio.

General Stone will direct the Fairy Tale Film’s movie, a follow up to his work on Taxi Driver: A XXX Parody from Pleasure Dynasty and Sensuous Diamond.

The film’s “evil queen” will be played by veteran adult star Lizzy Borden.

“We are unbelievably excited to have Alexis Ford in this role. She is a true superstar,” Sinsiter X Syndicate head of sales Dave Peskin told XBIZ.

He added, I’ve not seen a star like this since my days at Vivid Entertainment with all of the Jenna Jameson excitement. I’m really expecting for us to do Jameson sales numbers with this title.”

Ford, who is Penthouse magazine’s June Pet of the Month, will be appearing at ComicCon in San Diego, July 11-12 for the studio, and will be signing for fans.

The new film is set to be released the first week of September and as part of a recent agreement, Pure Play Media will handle fulfillment.

Steamy scenes from three movies produced by leading adult film studio Vivid Entertainment – Briana Loves Rocco, SupermanXXX: A Porn Parody, and Sweet and Natural — will be featured in the season three premiere episode of Comedy Central’s “Workaholics” premiering today, Tuesday, May 29th at 10:30pm ET/9:30pm CT.

The 10-episode series “Workaholics” stars the notorious co-workers and roommates, Adam DeVine, Blake Anderson and Anders Holm, who manage to have more fun on the job than they did in college. The Vivid footage is part of the kick-off show titled, “The Business Trip.” Viewers will get to follow “Blake,” “Adam” and “Ders,” who work together as telemarketers from 9 to 5, live together from 5 to 9 and party together 24/7.

In the season opener, “Anders” and his boss, “Alice,” go to a convention at a hotel. He is surprised to find “Adam,” “Ders” and “Karl” in his hotel room preparing his room for an acid trip. To keep them distracted, he plays the Vivid movie excerpts on the hotel television.

“Workaholics” was co-created by Mail Order Comedy’s Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck and 5th Year’s Dominic Russo and Connor Pritchard. The series stars Anderson, DeVine and Holm and is directed by Newacheck.

“We’re all big fans of ‘Workaholics’ at Vivid,” said Marci Hirsch, V.P. of Production. “Our movies and the show reach the same audience demographic and so we are literally on their wave length. We are delighted that they selected footage from our productions and we can’t wait to see the episode.”

In its 2011 season, “Workaholics” averaged 2.2-million total viewers and was the highest-rated series in its time slot across all of television among Men 18-34 and 18-24. The program was the second highest-rated show in all of television with men 18-24 on Tuesday nights and the second highest-rated show on cable on Tuesday nights with men 18-34, finishing behind only its lead-in “Tosh.O.”
